ByOur guest speaker is Andy Penry:
J. Anthony (Andy) Penry is a partner at the Raleigh law firm of Penry Riemann, PLLC. Andy has practiced law in Raleigh since 1979, with an emphasis on securities, construction and real estate litigation, as well as occupational licensing matters. He is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Law Institute, and the Litigation Counsel of America, and is the founding chair of the Commercial Litigation Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is also a member of the Compliance and Legal Division of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He has been recognized by inclusion in the Business North Carolina magazine Legal Elite, the North Carolina Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America, in the fields of commercial litigation, construction law, and securities law.
Andy will speak to us about the interplay between real estate investing and the securities laws, as well as issues relating to professional licensing.
The meeting is scheduled from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm this coming Wednesday, March 9.
Arrangements have just been completed for the location of our meeting. The meeting will be held at:

This restaurant is normally closed for luncheons, however, it is being opened just for our meeting.
This will ensure detailed service and a VERY QUIET environment.
Directions:
The restaurant is located about 1.5 miles WEST of Crabtree Mall on Glenwood Avenue (Rt. 70).
If you are coming from Crabtree, the restaurant is on the LEFT side.
If you are coming from Brier Creek/ I-540, the restaurant is on the RIGHT side.
The Agenda for the meeting is as follows:
- Lunch will begin at 12:00-12:15.
- After lunch, we will switch tables and interact with other members
- The guest speaker (indicated below) will start presentation at 1:00.
- After the speaker is finished, there will be time for more networking and conversations.
The purpose of this group is for advanced investors who have completed a minimum of 5 real estate investment transactions to share information, ideas, and networking during a weekday lunch. Space is limited and many more investors have interest than the meeting space will allow.
