Advanced Investors – NEW LOCATION!

The purpose of this group is for advanced investors who have completed a minimum of 5 real estate investment transactions to network; share information; ideas; and strategize on deal making. The truth is, if you’ve completed 5 transactions, you’ve had extensive interaction in the business to get them completed, typically. With that said, this group is designed for those Investors that have advanced education and experience and able to actively contribute. This group is for TREIA members only.
This Month we have a couple special activities:

The Advanced Investors Subgroup now meets each month on the second Wednesday between 1:30PM and 3:00PM. We hope you will use this as an opportunity to meet with one another for lunch prior to attending.
The purpose of this group is for advanced investors who have completed a minimum of 5 real estate investment transactions to network; share information; ideas; and strategize on deal making. The truth is, if you’ve completed 5 transactions, you’ve had extensive interaction in the business to get them completed, typically. With that said, this group is designed for those Investors that have advanced education and experience and able to actively contribute.
Space is limited to 45.

At the next Advanced Investors Subgroup on Wednesday June 8, , we’re going to be covering tax changes and accounting.
There has not been a ton of tax changes in the real estate world in the past few years, but a couple of the biggest things that people are talking about now are cost segregation and bonus depreciation for rental and other business properties.

J. Anthony (Andy) Penry is a partner at the Raleigh law firm of Penry Riemann, PLLC. Andy has practiced law in Raleigh since 1979, with an emphasis on securities, construction and real estate litigation, as well as occupational licensing matters. He is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Law Institute, and the Litigation Counsel of America, and is the founding chair of the Commercial Litigation Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is also a member of the Compliance and Legal Division of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He has been recognized by inclusion in the Business North Carolina magazine Legal Elite, the North Carolina Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America, in the fields of commercial litigation, construction law, and securities law.
Andy will speak to us about the interplay between real estate investing and the securities laws, as well as issues relating to professional licensing.

This group is intended for experienced, advanced investors who have completed a minimum of 5 real estate investment transactions. Intended to share information, ideas, deals and to network during a lunchtime meeting. In order to join the group, the investor must complete the application for this subgroup. The leader will then review it and if necessary, speak to the applicant. Otherwise, they’re admitted without a problem.
